It’s a great service, and now that it runs so nicely on Windows, we’ll be using it more than ever. We’re excited to be using the new Evernote, and hope this is only the start of a new trend for Evernote. If you had an older version of Evernote already installed, it will import the notes you’d already synced otherwise, it may take a few minutes to download all of your notes. Moments later, you’ll see all of your notes in the new Evernote 4. Check Stay signed in if you don’t want to have to re-enter your account info every time you use Evernote. Then you’ll need to enter your account info again, or if you’re just getting started with Evernote, create a new account. Accept the user agreement when you first run it. This is not unique to Evernote, but with every cloud app. You should have sync'd your iPad before attempting to edit the notes. and evernote can't keep track of which is a newer version of a note between two devices? What is this, 2011? Look at what Prezi or google docs does with immediate sync and multiple users. (I have several thousand notes in Evernote and many of my notebooks have >50 notes.) Did you have to use a Legacy version of Evernote to download your notebooks (or use the Evernote2Onenote application Evernote Legacy Download (I keep running into errors when I try to import ENEX files from the current version of Evernote.
In this case, even if I had a premium account my notes couldn't be restored. clearly the newer notes should be retained over an older version. In the UI design world, we would call this a bug. Instead of importing my newer notes into the ipad app, evernote overwrote the newer notes with the older version from the iPad. Upon opening the note on iPad, the changes I had made on the app were not present, so I closed the document, refreshed the notes and re-opened. We will discuss and demonstrate some of these features. 5 minutes later I opened that same note on my ipad to review. Notes are saved automatically and you can go back to earlier versions, if you need to. What I did was make quite a few changes to an existing note in the evernote app on my mac.
